Brown beef sausage in large Dutch over medium heat.
Drain fat, leaving two tablespoons of fat in the pot with browned sausage.
Break sausage into smaller chunks. Stir in bell peppers, onions and garlic.
Cook and stir about 5 to 8 minutes or until onion is translucent.
Add crushed tomatoes, diced green chilies, chili powder, molasses, mustard seeds, red pepper flakes, bay leaf and hot sauce.
Simmer about 1 hour or until thickened.
Remove and discard bay leaf.
Service with biscuit or cornbread if desired.
Sit back and enjoy!
