California Turkey Chili Ingredients:

  • california-turkey.jpg 1 ¼ cups chopped onions
  • 1 cup of chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 can (28 ounces) of kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (28 ounces) of stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup of red wine or water
  • 3 cups of cooked California-grown turkey
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh cilantro or 1 tablespoon of dried coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of saly

    Optional Shredded cheddar cheese Additional chopped onion Additional chopped fresh cilantro

California Turkey Chili Cooking Instructions:

  • Cook and stir onion, green pepper, garlic and oil in large saucepan over high heat until tender.

  • Add beans, tomatoes with liquid, wine, turkey, chili powder, cilantro, red pepper and salt.

  • Cover, then simmer for 25 minutes or until well heated.

  • Top with cheese, onion, or cilantro if desired.

  • Then enjoy!
